Marvel

In June 2009, Upper Deck announced that it had secured a multi-year license agreement with Marvel Entertainment, LLC, to produce Marvel-based trading cards and games starting in 2010. Following the January 2010 release of "Super Hero Squad Trading Cards," its first Marvel-based entertainment product, Upper Deck released its second offering three months later: "Marvel Iron Man 2 Trading Cards," a 75-card base set chronicling the sequel to one of the hottest movies from 2008. The Marvel Iron Man 2 trading card set features exclusive images and some never-before-seen details from Iron Man 2. Featured in the trading card set are actual autographed insert cards from some of the film’s biggest stars including Mickey Rourke (Whiplash) and Don Cheadle (Jim Rhodes/War Machine). In addition, actual pieces of Iron Man’s armor worn during the shooting of the movie were utilized on rare movie-used costume and other memorabilia cards which fell at a rate of one per hobby box. And the eye-catching, 1-of-1 original "Artist Sketch" cards, which will fall at an average rate of two per box, started to command top prices on eBay shortly after the set’s release.

Thomas & Friends

In June 2010, Upper Deck proudly released the first-ever trading cards of the #1 preschool property and long-running television show Thomas & Friends™. Entitled "Thomas & Friends Sodor Adventures Collectipak™," the 18-card set included cool stickers, tattoos and pop-up cards of the most lovable characters from Thomas & Friends including Thomas, Percy, James, Emily, Sir Topham Hatt and more. In future releases of Thomas & Friends trading cards, Upper Deck will launch additional products including stand-up trading cards and sticker trading cards based on the popular preschool property which celebrated its 65th anniversary in 2010.

Hello Kitty

In November 2010, Upper Deck proudly unveiled its first Hello Kitty^® collectible miniatures & stickers trading card game (TCG) – "Hello Kitty World Adventures Collectipak." Targeted to young girls and tweens, the fun-to-play TCG includes collectible figures, stickers and trading cards that appeal to Hello Kitty fans. The premiere World Adventures Collectipak set embraces Hello Kitty as she embarks on her world adventure. The TCG is delivered via individual foil packs and include one foil card, one token card, four sticker cards, one passport, and one rules sheet. Young children will share her world travels and learn fun facts about Hello Kitty and the places she visits. More than 20 different countries are represented via sticker cards including the United States, Italy, Canada, China, Egypt, Germany, Holland, India, Scotland and Russia, and the first player to fill her passport wins!
