Job Title: Marketing Events Manager

Summary
Responsible for overseeing the creation and implementation of Premier Events in support of the Company’s products including Yu-Gi-Oh!, Vs. System, and World of Warcraft.  Will oversee, collaborate with and recruit, train and schedule worldwide Premier Tournament Organizers along with managing the global calendar of events.  Will assist with premier event budgeting and annual operating plan (AOP) development.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.
·         Oversees Premier Tournament Organizers.

·         Manages, updates, and maintains the global calendar of events.

·         Collaborates with and recruits, trains and schedules worldwide Premier Tournament Organizers.

·         Works with Marketing and other departments to ensure appropriate level of Organized Play support to brand and sales objectives.

·         Assists with premier event budgeting and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development.

 
Interaction
This position will interact closely with the Manager of Organized Play and Premier Events Specialists along with related Company staff members and external parties.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities
Premier Events Specialists and external Premier Tournament Organizers.
 
Education/Years Experience
·         Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

·         5+ years of high-level Organized Play background/experience.

 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·         High-level knowledge of Organized Play including competitive tournaments.

·         Knowledge of the Trading Card Game (TCG) industry.

·         Hands-on experience with a variety of Trading Card Game (TCG) products.

·         Strong background in the management of employees and external parties.

·         Knowledge of basic budgeting and forecasting.

·         Proven ability to deliver objectives within budgetary boundaries.

·         Excellent oral and written communications skills.

·         Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail.

·         Superior interpersonal, negotiating, consulting, analytical and problem solving abilities.

·         Professional demeanor; team player orientation.  Ability to interface with internal and external parties at all levels.

·         Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment.

·         Hands on, energetic and motivated self-starter.

·         Ability to travel on behalf of the Company.

·         Proficiency in the following software or systems:  MS Office.
