Job Title: Associate Game Designer - TCG

Summary
Responsible for the design and development of new and existing games.  Will create, play test and analyze games using structured and freeform methods.  Performs analysis of competitive play environments and provides constructive, timely feedback.  Will generate ideas for new games and/or entertainment opportunities.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.
·         Designs and develops new and existing games.

·         Creates, play tests and analyzes games using structured and freeform methods.

·         Performs analysis of competitive play environments and provides constructive, timely feedback.

·         Generates ideas for new games and/or entertainment opportunities.

 
Interaction
This position will interact closely with the Game Designer and departmental personnel along with related Company staff members.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities
Not applicable.
 
Education/Years Experience
·         High School Diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

·         2+ years of game design and/or development experience; background with a variety of trading card games (TCG’s) preferred.

 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·         Knowledge of the Trading Card Game (TCG) industry.

·         Hands-on experience with a variety of Trading Card Game (TCG) products.

·         Ability to design and develop new and existing games.

·         Ability to create, play test and analyze games using structured and freeform methods.

·         Ability to perform analysis of competitive play environments and provide constructive, timely feedback.

·         Ability to generate ideas for new games and/or entertainment opportunities.

·         Knowledge of Organized Play including competitive tournaments.

·         Strong oral and written communications skills.

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail.

·         Strong interpersonal, leadership and presentation abilities.

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

·         Professional demeanor; team player orientation.  Ability to interface with internal parties at all levels.

·         Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment.

·         Highly creative, hands-on, energetic and motivated self-starter.

·         Ability to travel on behalf of the Company.

·         Proficiency in the following software or systems:  MS Office (advanced).
