General Collection Questions
- What is the Upper Deck Collection?
The Upper Deck Collection is the ultimate resource for your Upper Deck cards. It contains the checklists, images, and information of all the major sports trading card sets produced by Upper Deck. While this in and of itself is a valuable tool, it becomes more powerful by giving you, the collector, the ability to customize it for your own personal collection!
From the information that is stored in the Upper Deck Collection, you can create your own personalized collections containing such information as team lists, athlete lists and want lists. Once you have created your collection, there are many options available for you including the ability to print your lists, add or remove cards from it, and email the lists to friends, family or other collectors.
In addition to the information that is provided by Upper Deck Collection, you can edit certain personal aspects of your collection including the condition, price you paid, grade, notes, etc.
- Do I need an account to use the Upper Deck Collection?
To view the checklists and cards, no. But the answer is "yes" if you want to take full advantage of its power, creating lists, customizing them, and being able to email them. If you currently have an account that you use for e|cards, redemption cards, personalized cards or trivia, then there is no need to create a new account; they all use the same login information.

My Upper Deck Collections
- How do I create my own customized card collection?
After logging in to your account, click the "my collections" button on the Upper Deck Collection homepage. The screen that will come up contains a list of your current collections, including the number of cards in that collection. If the collection that you want is not in that list, or if you haven't created any collections yet, click the "create a new collection" button. On the new screen, enter the name you want for your collection and any applicable notes, then click the "save changes" button. Your new list will now appear among your collections.
- How do I add cards to my collection?
From the "my collections" home page, click the "search" button. You will be given the option of searching by card set, team, athlete, or from among your collections. Choose which of those searches you would prefer and click it. If, for example, you choose to search by athlete, you will be taken to a new screen that allows you to enter the athlete's name and the sport. To narrow down your search, there are the optional fields of team, year, or year range. The broader, less specific, your search is, the more abundant the responses you will receive.
Once you click search, all the cards that meet your criteria will be displayed. Clicking on the card number will provide the image of the card. To select a card for your collection, check the box on the left side. Above the list appears "your collections". Choose the collection you would like to add the card to and click "add to". That card will now appear within the chosen collection. Ror help with searching, click the "help" button on the search page.
- How do I remove the cards in my collection?
Select the collection that contains the cards you would like to remove or edit. To remove a card, check the box in the same row as the card and click the "delete" button at the top of the list.
- How do I edit cards that I have in my collection?
To edit a card, first go to the card collection in which the card resides. Once there, simply click the icon of the paper and pencil that appears in the same row as the card. At this point a new screen will come up on which you may edit such information as the card's condition, its status, quantity, purchase price, selling price, etc. Simply click "save changes" when done.
Search Related Questions
- What are some basic tips for searching for cards in the Upper Deck Collection?
As a general rule of thumb, remember that the broader your search, the more plentiful your results. The more specific your search, the fewer results you'll receive. for example, searching for an athlete by their first and last name, only during a certain year, only in a single sport, and only on a single team will produce fewer results than if you just typed in smith. Also, if you are unsure of the complete spelling of a name, try searching for just the first few letters.
- When I do my search, I do not get any results, what did I do wrong?
There are a few simple things to check when you do not get any results for your search. First, make sure that you are searching in the appropriate category. for example, make sure that you are not entering an athlete's name on the search page that requires the team name. second, make sure that you have the correct spelling. If you are not sure of the spelling, try spelling out just the first few letters of the name. Or, if you know the team name, try a search for the team and look up that player's name in the results.
- Do I have to fill in all the fields on the search screen?
No. the fewer fields you fill in, the broader your results you will receive. If you know specifically what card you are looking for, try filling in as much of the information as possible. this will reduce the number of results that you will have to sift through later.
- I got back so many results that I can't find what I'm looking for. Now what?
If you know specifically what card you are looking for, try filling in as much of the information as possible. This will reduce the number of results that you will have to sift through later.
